Do good deeds and be kind to other people
Doing good deeds and helping others are good things. But doing them will not earn God's forgiveness. God cannot be bribed by tears, deeds, or good intentions. He has provided what is required through the death of Jesus Christ.
"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of your own doing; It is the free gift of God, not of works, lest any man should brag about it."
